MIL-PRF-87937 Type I is a water-dilutable, D-Limonene-based solvent emulsion cleaner/degreaser intended to be used for cleaning Aerospace Equipment including aircraft, aerospace ground equipment (AGE) and AGE engines.

INTENDED USE: 
MIL-PRF-87937 Type I is intended for light to heavy-duty removal of greases, oils, hydraulic fluid, and carbon.  MIL-PRF-87937 Type I cleaner can be used in place of other cleaners when approved by the System Program Manager of the equipment being cleaned.  MIL-PRF-87937 Type I should be used only on polyurethane and enamel coatings as it may attack acrylic nitrocellulose lacquer coatings found in numerous aircraft.  

APPLICATION:
MIL-PRF-87937 Type I is a concentrated cleaner that should be diluted with water for best cleaning results.  The dilution rate depends on the condition of the soiled surface.  MIL-PRF-87937 Type I cleaner is not intended to be used as canopy cleaner.  MIL-PRF-87937 Type I has not been tested for use at elevated temperatures.  A suggested rate follows:

HEAVY CLEANING:   1 part cleaner to 10 parts water
LIGHT CLEANING:   1 part cleaner to 20 parts water

REMOVAL:
After cleaning, simply rinse off with water.
